President Trump issued a strong critique of Democratic lawmakers following their objections to reports about his anticipated acquisition of a state-of-the-art Boeing jet from the Qatari government.
In a detailed post on Truth Social Sunday evening, Trump addressed the uproar over claims that he would be receiving a Boeing 747-8 aircraft from Qatar. According to multiple media outlets, the plane is expected to serve as a temporary replacement for Air Force One and later be featured as part of Trump’s presidential library after his term concludes.
While the White House has not provided specific details on the arrangement, Trump confirmed independently that the Defense Department plans to formally accept the plane as a gift.
“Let’s be clear: the Defense Department is receiving a 747 aircraft—ENTIRELY FREE—as a temporary substitute for the nearly 40-year-old Air Force One, all through a fully transparent process. Yet the Crooked Democrats are complaining, insisting we should PAY FULL PRICE for it instead. Ridiculous! They’re the masters of wasting taxpayer dollars. The Dems are a total disaster! MAGA,” Trump wrote passionately.
ABC News initially broke the story about the potential transfer of the plane, just days ahead of Trump’s planned visits to several Middle Eastern nations, including Qatar. Qatari officials later clarified to The Hill that the plane would not be formally presented to Trump during his upcoming trip.
