John Fugelsang is an actor, comedian, son of a former Catholic nun and a Franciscan brother, and author of the new book, “Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person’s Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds.”
He speaks with Malcolm about how the Right has twisted the Bible for political gain, the decline in religious participation in America and what the Bible actually says about abortion, immigrants and LGBTQ rights.
